Faxing with Amont IT VoIP

Toll Free Call

Born from “facsimile” meaning the exact reproduction of an image, writing or painting on paper or canvas, the fax is the most efficient and secure means of not only authentically reproducing drawn patterns but also of transmitting them to a long distance very quickly see immediately. From its original name, the telefax or electric printer telegraph, it was designed by Alexander Baine in 1843 and made it possible to transmit data by 2D image. As the telephone lines were only capable of receiving audio files, then the data was interpreted into sounds and frequencies, and transcribed by the telegraph in black and white on the page. This revolutionized telecommunications. Moreover, this primitive system was improved by others such as Frederick Blakewell in 1847 and by Giovanni Caselli, who manufactured the first commercial model in 1863.

However the real revolution was in 1902 when Arthur Korn had the brilliant idea of the optical scanner in 1902 to transfer photos to newspapers. His work, taken in hand by AT&T, gave birth to the transmission of images by cable as well as the color fax in 1924. That same year the rival group RCA made the same wireless model.

Finally in 1964 the company Xerox was inspired by this last version of the wireless fax to produce what we know of the current fax machine.

This was the heyday of faxing until the advent of cell phones, where the use of land lines in homes declined dramatically. But large companies and state structures continued to fax their documents, as it was the most secure way to send confidential documents. However, the arrival of the Internet has made it possible to restore and improve the fax and thus give access to it to anyone just thanks to a mobile phone, a computer connected to the Internet, while always remaining secure.
